{"id":56,"date":"2017-11-30T14:42:51","date_gmt":"2017-11-30T14:42:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fossbox.org.uk\/?p=56"},"modified":"2020-03-19T14:22:19","modified_gmt":"2020-03-19T14:22:19","slug":"evaluating-research-impacts-the-exchange","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.fossbox.org.uk\/?p=56","title":{"rendered":"Evaluating research impacts: &#8216;The Exchange&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re developing new ways to capture the wider impacts of collaborative research in partnership with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theculturecapitalexchange.co.uk\/areas-of-work\/creative-and-research-led-collaborations\/\">The Cultural Capital Exchange<\/a> (TCCE)&#8217;s project <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wearetheexchange.org\/awards\/\">The Exchange<\/a> <\/em>and Gemma Burford of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.green-spiral.com\/\">Green Spiral<\/a><em>. <\/em><em>The Exchange<\/em> was funded by HEFCE and Arts Council England and aimed to establish a national network to promote collaborative research between early career researchers (ECRs) and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the cultural and creative sector. The evaluative approach was based on the methodologies developed as part of the AHRC&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/connected-communities.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/Creating-Living-Knowledge.Final_.pdf\">Creating Living Knowledge<\/a> programme, in the Legacies project <a href=\"http:\/\/arts.brighton.ac.uk\/projects\/starting-from-values-evaluating-intangible-legacies\">Starting from Values<\/a>, led by Prof Marie Harder, on which Gemma and I had previously collaborated. Gemma extended this innovative evaluation approach and worked with Paula Graham-Gazzard at Fossbox to build a prototype platform supporting ECRs in developing and carrying through collaborative community research projects, gathering evaluative data as the projects progressed.<\/p>\n<p>The final report will be published shortly and we&#8217;ll be looking at how to develop the prototype further in our future research collaborations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re developing new ways to capture the wider impacts of collaborative research in partnership with The Cultural Capital Exchange (TCCE)&#8217;s project The Exchange and Gemma Burford of Green Spiral.
